SKID ROW Parts Ways With Drummer, Announces Replacement
May 12, 2010SKID ROW has parted ways with drummer Dave Gara and has replaced him with Atlanta native Rob Hammersmith.
Commented SKID ROW singer Johnny Solinger: "We wish Davee all the best for the future and we are very excited to begin working with Rob." Guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo added, "Let's put it this way: We gave him (Rob) a lot of songs to learn and not much time to learn them, but he came through like a champ."
Rob spent many years touring and recording with Atlanta-based rockers ROCKETS TO RUIN and has performed with GUNFIRE 76, the band featuring MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13.
When asked about his new gig, Hammersmith stated, "Having always been a fan, it is an honor to be asked to join the band. The band's music and history holds a special place in both my life, and the lives of so many loyal fans. To be a part of that history is the chance of a lifetime."

SKID ROW's latest album, "Revolutions Per Minute", was released on October 24, 2006 via SPV Records. The follow-up to 2003's "ThickSkin" was recorded at WireWorld studio in Nashville, Tennessee with Michael Wagener, who previously worked with the band on their two most commercially successful albums to date, "Skid Row" (1989) and "Slave to the Grind" (1991).
